Seattle reception photos from friends

Rick and Kurt have shared photos that they took at the Seattle reception. And there is also a photo from Diane taken after the Indiana celebration.

Kurt did some impressive panoramic shots in the interior and on the beach outside of the boathouse (click on photo to bring up larger image)

Rick took several pictures during the reception.

And this photo is from Diane, taken back in Indiana at the restaurant we went to with our friends after the Indiana celebration.

Seattle reception

The Seattle celebration of our Indianapolis wedding went off spectacularly! I only have a few photos from my camera so far, Rebecca and I spent most of the evening talking with our friends and family that were able to attend.

This is the invitation we sent to everyone for the party. Rebecca and I were our own little printing shop for the Indianapolis and Seattle reception. It was fun to use our creative energies.

We lucked out on the weather, it was a sunny and warm day, which made for a good day to be down at the beach. This picture of the outside of the boathouse doesn't really capture how it sits on the beach of Golden Gardens park and looks out onto the Puget Sound. There were many sailboats on the water, and the view of the Olympic Mountains to the west was picturesque (I wish I had a picture showing how photogenic it was).

This shows the interior of the space. The boathouse is an old brick building that the city renovated a few years ago to make it nicer and earthquake proof. They provided all the tables and chairs. Rebecca's parents helped out tremendously with arranging for the tablecloths, dinner ware and organizing the food. Without their help, we would have not been able to pull it off.

Here is Rebecca setting up with a smile.

Here is the only photo I took during the party.

The party lasted from 5 to 9 p.m. We took a 1 and 1/2 hours to set up, and we only had a 1/2 hour to teardown and clean up. The Seattle Parks staff said we won honors for being the fastest and best cleanup crew ever. At 9 p.m. I walked around to every table to say "thanks for coming", and then let everyone know that we had to be out of the building by 9.30 and let them know how to help clean up. It was like seeing an a professional concert crew break down an event and head out. Everyone hopped up and went into motion. Here is the photo I took at 9.30. It was impressive.
