Hike on Dirty Face near Lake Wenatchee

We hiked to the waterfall on Dirty Face last weekend while we were up at the cabin. It was a beautiful day for hike. We took Gus, but left Coco behind because she would not have enjoyed it.

Refreshed cast iron dutch oven and bread

There was a rusty, old cast iron pot sitting outside the cabin at Lake Wenatchee. I brought it back to Ballard and spent an hour scrubbing it with steel wool and sand paper to get the rust off, then conditioned it with vegetable oil in the over a couple times. After it was ready, I found a no knead bread recipe. It turned out pretty good!
