Bamboo forest and waterfall

Here are some more pictures from the hike we went on yesterday. We hiked through a dense (very dense)(or maybe typically dense for bamboo) forest to a waterfall. We also had someone take a photo of us together while standing at on overlook for the ocean.

Maui photos

Last night Rebecca and I went to Mama's Fish house near the place we are staying. We told them we were there for our anniversary and they treated us nicely. The food was incredible.

Today we drove from Pai'a around the eastern side of the island on the Hana highway. The road wasn't as horrible as some of the books make it sound, but I am glad we were driving a rental car. Also, the road was pretty darn skinny sometimes.

Arrival in Maui

Rebecca and I arrived in Maui this afternoon via a direct flight from Seattle. Rebecca found us a great rental spot at a luxurious house right on the beach. This photo was taken while sitting on the back porch. There are four bedrooms and we have one of them. We have met one of the other couples so far and ironically they are from Seattle also.

One might notice I didn't mention our girls making the trip. Their Seattle grandparents are taking care of them. We are very thankful to have them living so close and helping us so much.
