Happy 4th of July!

Every year the whole country celebrates Rebecca's birthday by holding large fireworks displays in all the cities and towns. We weren't able to find a babysitter this evening, so we won't be able to do our usual bike ride down to watch the Seattle fireworks, but we did have some friends over for a small brunch.

Here is J trying to figure out all the clips and belts on our Ergo baby carrier. The carrier is wonderful for carrying our new daughter, and J was going to try and use it for one of her babies.






Here is a snapshot of our dogs Ruby (the black Lab) and Lance (the poodle) hanging out together on a blanket that we lay out for them to sleep on so they are more comfortable during the day.
